A resealable bag containing a minimum of 500g of Alder wood chips suitable for all hot smokers, stovetop smokers and BBQ smoke boxes. Can also be soaked and put straight onto Barbecue coals. These chips are ground to a consistency that gently smoulder so a little bit goes a long way – we recommend using 1 heaped tablespoon at a time so this bag will give approximately 80 smokes. Supplied in a resealable bag – approximate dimensions: 29cm x 20cm. Alder has a delicate flavour with a hint of sweetness. Great for all fish and seafood and also for pork, poultry, light meat game birds and vegetables. All our Wood Chips are Chemical Free and from Sustainable Sources (Be aware: Always make sure you know where your wood has come from as wood chips created with oily chainsaws or from builders merchants can be contaminated with oil, chemicals or traces of MDF)
