Natural stone for crisp, crunchy baked goods
Cordierite is a natural, extremely fire-resistant mineral that makes it perfect for baking. It has great heat retention and absorbs a lot of moisture with its open-pored surface.
The Levivo cordierite baking stone ensures fantastic heat transfer, because the heat distributes itself very evenly over the natural stone to the dough. This cooks quickly on the hot stone and becomes wonderfully crispy, just like from a stone oven.
The baking stone is available in two different sizes (1.5 or 3 cm high) – individually or in a set with a wooden spatula for pizza or bread, as well as a GU-book with pizza or bread recipes.
Cordierite – extremely fire and heat-resistant
The natural mineral cordierite is the perfect material for a baking stone: It heats up well, is easy to clean and has large pores – this helps absorb any extra moisture and the dough stays crisp without becoming soggy.
Bake in the oven or on the barbecue
The baking stone is suitable for pizza, bread, tarte flambée, flatbread and other doughs. It can be used in the oven or on charcoal or gas grills. As it retains heat evenly, it can be used several times in succession, without the bakes becoming too dark.
Great preheating for sustainable heat retention
The fireproof pizza stone must be preheated at a high temperature before being used for baking, so that even cooking can be achieved. Goods baked on the stone rise quickly achieve a particularly crispy crust on the underside.
Easy care and cleaning
The stone can be cleaned by hand when it has completely cooled – the stone must not be soaked in water for a long time and is not dishwasher-proof. Over time, the stone may discolour due to heat or food, but these have no effect on hygiene. Further usage and care tips are included with the product.
Step 1
Preheat the baking stone at 220°C for approx. 45 minutes

Place the bread dough on the hot stone and bake

Let the baking stone cool in the switched off oven
Step 4
Once it has fully cooled, clean it off with a damp cloth
